Scottish Love in Action
Helping Vulnerable Children in India
During Bike Week we are are raising money for Scottish Love in Action by cycling, scooting or walking around a track in our school field. "Hoof it to Hyderabad" is the name of the charity's challenge and their overall target is 5,000 miles, the distance from Scotland to Hyderabad in India.
Scottish Love in Action help transform the lives of vulnerable children in India. They do this by partnering with and supporting non profit making organisations that care for and educate children.

They support the Nazareth Association for Social Awareness (NASA) to manage the Light of Love Children’s Home and School in the town of Tuni in Andhra Pradesh state.
Their joint vision with Indian partners is to reduce all forms of child poverty – physical, emotional, educational and economic – by providing each child with the care and security, encouragement, education and life skills that will empower them to develop their potential, self-esteem and aspirations.
This will enable them to lead independent, fulfilling lives and to break cycles of poverty.
Since 2000, they have focused on caring for destitute children and more recently have expanded their focus to reach out to girls who are especially vulnerable and at greater risk of exploitation.
