On Wednesday 10 June 2015 at 10am thousands of children across the UK walked from their school gates, celebrating the wonders of walking by taking part in Brake's Giant Walk.

This annual event is a fantastic way for kids to put their best feet forwards for road safety: to say "yes!" to the health and planet-saving benefits of walking, and "no!" to fast driving that threatens kids' safety.

Our whole school walked around the local area of Prior Park demonstrating that 20 is plenty when it comes to driving around the estate!

Girlguiding

Laura Wilkinson, a Development Officer for Girlguiding came to talk to us in assembly as our school would like to open a unit so that more girls in Tweedmouth can join Brownies and Rainbows.

Girlguiding changes as the lives of girls change, they provide a girl only space where girls can have fun, take part in new adventures and learn new things. Rainbows are for girls aged 5-7 and Brownies are for girls aged 7-10.

Berwick Riding of the Bounds

As part of Our Border story, Berwick 900 programme of events in 2015, the annual Riding of the Bounds took place on May 1st. The annual Riding of the Bounds is an historic fifteen mile ride out, originating to protect the English town from Scottish raiders by securing the boundaries of the town.

Our school choir was invited to sing on the town hall steps at this important event in our town. This is just a few of our talented singers!
