Key Information

Pupil Premium

All children regardless of their background or circumstances are entitled to receive the best possible education and achieve their best. Academic attainment should not be determined by economic disadvantage.

The Government introduced the Pupil Premium Grant to be used to close the attainment gap between disadvantaged children and their peers.

This funding is to support pupils who:

  • currently receive free school meals
  • have received free school meals at some point in the last 6 years
  • are ‘Looked After’* children.  (Looked after children' (LAC) means children in public care, who are placed with foster carers, in residential homes or with other relatives.)

Please read the reports in this section  which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant, how we allocate the funding and the impact it has in our school.

The review of 2022/23 is included in our 2023/24 Pupil Premium statement

Local Offer

What is the Local Offer?

As part of the Children and Families Bill 2013, the government transformed the system for children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those who are disabled, so that services consistently support the best outcomes for them.

Local authorities are required to publish and keep under review the provision available for young people with SEN and details the services families can expect from a range of local agencies, including education, health and social care. This is the 'Local Offer'. Knowing what is out there gives families more choice and therefore more control over what support is right for their child.

School Sport Premium

What is the PE and Sport Premium?

The government has provided additional funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding is referred to as the Sports Premium and is given directly to schools for them to choose how they spend this money in their school.
