Gardening Club

Our green fingered gardeners are now preparing the ground for our potatoes, planting up bedding plants and checking on their recently germinated seeds.

Gardening club have begun their planting journey to help develop the biodiversity within our school grounds.

Gardening club have been working together as engineers to follow written instructions and build a greenhouse, kindly donated by B&M Berwick store.

Gardening Club have been making an audit of current resources and equipment we may need as well as preparing the ground for planting. Well done everyone excellent effort!

School gardening club has now resumed! Our budding horticulturalists have been discussing and creating their vision for our school grounds.

Once again our gardening club have been busy, weeding, organising, and planning. The children helped to make a map of the school grounds, which would have been worthy of Ordnance Survey standard.Thank you to all the parents who came to help plant the bulbs. We shall look forward to the Spring, when we shall see the results of your hard work!!

Welcome from our gardeners! Once again we have been busy, cultivating and designing, resulting in a Sweet-Pea Tee-Pee and some individual gardens which would be worthy of Chelsea Flower Show status! Well done gardeners on another fun filled term.

Hello from the Prior Park gardeners! With the beginning of Spring we have embarked upon a new style of planting. As I'm sure you are aware, our children are always being challenged here at Prior Park, and gardening club is no exception! Therefore, we have been converting feet into centimetres, tying knots and working out how to protect our seedlings from pests. Well done Gardeners!

Hello from our gardeners! As the winter approaches, we will be tending to our onions and broccoli, as well as a few crafts. Watch this space for updates!

Winners of Berwick School's Gardening Competition

Last term the children in our gardening club planted broad beans which were harvested and then tasted by the competition judges at the end of the summer term. This term, some members of our school Gardening Club went to the Town Hall to collect the trophy for first prize for growing the best beans out of all the schools in Berwick. Well Done!
