On Monday 3rd July Class 1 ventured to Holy Island for our school trip. We went to the island as the tide was closing and it was a fantastic day. We visited the local school, watched the fishing boats come and played on the beach. Here are some pictures from our day out! We had a lot of fun.
Welcome back to Class 1. The children have had a great first morning and are all looking very smart! We have lots to look forward to this term and they were very good at learning all the new routines and systems.
Class 1 are learning a poem about mice and we are learning to say this poem as we tidy up. Here is the poem so you can practise it at home.
Mice
I think mice are rather nice,
Their tails are long,
Their faces small.
They haven't any chins at all!
Their ears are pink,
Their teeth are white.
They run about the house at night.
They nibble things they shouldn't touch.
And no one seems to like them much.
But I think mice are nice.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
