This week is our Bike Week. Please could everyone bring their bike (and helmet for safety) as we will be cycling during class time every day.
This half term our topic is Journeys.
Our power of reading text is the Naughty bus by Jan and Jerry Oke
28/5/21 We learnt a silly rhyme about worms. Here is the rhyme to recite at home.
Today I saw a little worm
wriggling on its belly
Perhaps he'd like to come inside
and see what's on the telly
This week we have been talking about different emotions and how to manage our emotions. We have learnt 3 calming techniques:
*Calming sequence with hands
*Square breathing
*High 5 breathing
This week we have been learning about features of the beach/coast. We have looked at photographs of local beaches and talked about our visits to them. We have explored different types of shells and sorted them into groups. We have made a 'seaside in a bottle' and textured beach pictures.

Hello Nursery
This is your last week of home learning. You have all worked hard and we are very proud of you. We are all looking forward to seeing you all back in class on Monday 8th March. Please remember to keep uploading your photographs on School 360 especially on Thursday which is World Book Day. I have attached below a couple of extra activities and you can find other activities on the website

If you dress up as your favourite book character please upload a photograph on the school 360. There will be a prize for each class. I wonder if you could read 5 or more stories on that day at home!
I will upload a video of the story'The Three Little Pigs' which will be our focus story this week, so look out for that on the school 360. We have another boogie beat session on Monday 1st March at 1pm so I hope I see you joining in with the session.

I hope you have had a lovely half term and a good rest.This term our topic is homes and we will be learning about different types of houses and we will have a think about how our own house is different from houses in the past. We will be also doing lots of work about the traditional tale 'The Three Little Pigs' which should be good fun. In our maths work we will be doing some work about length, height, money and combining two sets. We will look at numbers 6, 7 and 8 in more detail this half term. I hope it won't be long until we can all be back at school.
This week I have uploaded links for your Read Write Inc phonic lessons on the school 360. It is always lovely to see the photographs of your activities on the school 360, please continue to upload photographs.

Hello Nursery,
You have continued to work very hard at home this week, well done everyone. I was really pleased to see that lots of you completed the pet challenge activities this week and I was impressed with your drawings of your pets. When I looked through your packs I can see you are all working hard on writing your name, keep going! I can see good progress with your writing
This week I have uploaded a video on the school 360 of one of our favourite counting rhymes 'Five little ducks' and I hope you will sing along with me at home. I have also added a video of a story we enjoyed in school this week. Please remember to look out for Miss Lee's science challenge on the school 360.

This week our story is 'Hello Friend'. The book explores kindness, empathy and friendship. In your home learning pack, a little task is outlined each day. This week is Children's Mental Health Week and the theme this year is 'Express Yourself'. Some ideas to do at home are:

Hi everyone,
I am looking forward to looking at the work you have completed last week and any photos you've uploaded. This week your work is based around 'Winter'. I hope you are ready to work hard. Over the next few weeks our work will be based around our new topic 'Pets'.
The CBBC/CBeebies channel on your television will be streaming live lessons every day. There will also be live "Sing Up" music sessions on Tuesday mornings at 9am with a different artist leading each week just follow this link https://www.youtube.com/singup.
Also the PE superstar Joe Wicks will be hosting live workouts on a Monday, Wednesday and a Friday which I am sure will be lots of fun!
