June 2021
Miss Armstrong is our new teacher.
We have really enjoyed looking the story of "The Adventures of the Egg Box Dragon". We decided to create our own versions of the Egg Box Dragon. We had lots of fun designing them and then creating them.
We had an amazing sports day. The children had so much fun competing and cheering on their team mates.

Hello Class 1,
I am delighted that I will have you all back in school in under two weeks! Our classroom has been painted whilst you were at home so it will be lovely for us all to come back into a fresh classroom.
The pack that you picked up on Friday will be the last learning at home pack. Thank you to every one of you and your mummies/daddies/grannies/grandads for all your hard work throughout this lockdown. You have all worked so hard for so long and we couldn't be more proud!
Please still complete this last pack and return it to school. If you have any problems or issues with school360 please contact school. Miss Lee has kindly reset our school360 passwords so we can all attend the story reading session on Tuesday at 11. If you haven't already given consent to take part, please email admin@tppfs.co.uk as soon as possible giving your name and consent.
I look forward to seeing you for our live lesson on Tuesday as well as seeing all your smiling faces on Monday 8th March.

Hello Class 1,
I hope you have all enjoyed your half term!
The pack you picked up on the last day of half term (12th February) is to be started tomorrow on Monday 22nd.
As you may have noticed, I did not include paper copies of the phonics links this time as if I had, the links would have expired and would not work. I have sent each child the phonics links through school 360.
If you have any problems accessing school 360, please contact school.
Please also complete the CLPE English activities and the White Rose maths activities. Each white rose activity sheet has a video that can be accessed through the online timetable posted below. Each video gives examples of each task as well as talking the children through how to solve problems. The videos are short and they give you time to pause and to complete different questions on the sheet.
Again, if you have are having any problems with the White Rose videos or worksheets, please contact school I am more than happy to help however I can.
I look forward to speaking to you all on our weekly phone calls, take care and stay safe.
Mrs Brown.

Hello Class 1,
I hope you have enjoyed this week and I hope you are all staying safe.
From this week, we have changed how we are providing phonic lessons at home. From Monday, each day there is a speed sound lesson, a spelling lesson and a hold a sentence lesson to be completed and recorded on the blank phonic timetable.
There is a direct link to click for each video, all videos are short sessions following the format we teach in school.
Each child has been given a paper copy of the links in their learning pack (which was collected on Friday) and I will send a digital copy via school360.
If you have any issues with accessing the phonic videos please contact us on the school telephone number.
You can also still access the Ruth Miskin speed sound lessons on YouTube (Set 2 and set 3).
Please also complete the CLPE English tasks as well as the White Rose maths tasks for the week. If you would like any help or support please contact us on the school telephone number.
I have had a request from a parent for help with uploading photographs to schoo360 so I have attached below the step by step guide.
This week (Week beginning 1st Feb) is child's mental health week. In recent years, and especially lately with our current situation, children's mental health has becoming increasingly important in schools. Usually in school we do lots of activities that remote relaxation and mindfulness so if you would like do some of those at home that would be brilliant. If you would like to you could... do some yoga, go for a walk in our local area, go for a bike ride or any other form of physical activity outside. You could also encourage quiet activities away from a screen such as playing with playdoh, doing a puzzle or colouring in a picture. It would be lovely to see a photograph of your mindful and relaxing activities so if you would like to you could send us a picture through school360.

25th January 2021
Hello Class One,
I hope you are all safe and well.
Thank you to each and every one of you for trying so hard with your learning at home, I know how tricky it is trying to learn at home but we are so proud of you all... Keep it up! :-)
I have included our home learning plan for this week below.
Please remember to watch Ruth Miskin phonics on YouTube (set 2 and set 3 speed sounds) and to complete the activities in your pack. Once an activity is completed, please leave a little comment on the feedback sheet. This sheet is another way for us to communicate about anything you or your child is finding tricky as well as commenting on how well they are doing.
We are also on to week 3 of Miss Lee's science challenge. Your challenge this week is to design a space buggy. You can email a photograph to our school email (admin@tppfs.co.uk) or send a photograph to me via School360.
I have noticed when I was marking the previous weeks packs that a fair amount of you are finding the literacy activities tricky to access. This week (WB 25.01.21.) I have included additional paper resources for literacy for each day if you are having trouble accessing oak academy.
It has also been brought to my attention that we are having some problems with oak academy. Sometimes if a lot of people (probably from all over our country) are trying to access a video online it doesn't load or just doesn't work at all, if this is the case, please complete a paper activity for that day.
Currently we are adapting how we are going to provide phonics whilst you are at home, the format for teaching phonics at home will change from next week (week beginning 01.02.21). Once we have finalised our new format I will post more information on our class page.
Thank you for all your hard work and support during this uncertain time.
I look forward to speaking to you all next week during our weekly phone calls but if there is any issue or anything you would like help with please do not hesitate to pick up the phone and call us on the school number (01289 306667) we are always happy to help.
Take care and stay safe,
Mrs Brown.
